［内容摘要］民国时期清华大学主要采用自主招生、单独考试的方式对新生进行选拔与录取。在招生规模与质量、生源结构与分布、招生考试管理以及特长生的选拔录取等方面，具有较鲜明的特点。对民国时期清华大学自主招生考试的特点进行分析与研究，既是对历史的梳理回顾，又可以总结民国时期大学招生考试的经验与教训，为我国当前的自主招生考试改革提供借鉴与参考。

An Inquiry into the Independent Entrance Examination
of Tsing Hua University in the Republican Period

［Abstract］During the Republican period, Tsing Hua University adopted an independent examination system to enroll students with its unique arrangements in ensuring enrollments in number and qualities, in monitoring the sources of students and their distributions and in entrance examination management, including how to select and admit a student with forte. A study on the independent entrance examination of Tsing Hua University in the Republican period is not merely a recollection of the history but will also help us sum up the experience and lessons which we can draw on in our present independent entrance examination reforms.
